Information we collect
When you order, we collect information such as your name, email, optional phone number, order details, fundraiser or participant attribution, and a shipping address when shipping is selected. Our payment provider processes payment-card information; Colonel Pop's does not receive your complete card number.
Fundraiser records may include organization contacts, participant names and email addresses, campaign activity, and sales attribution. Contact forms and fundraiser inquiries include the information you submit plus limited security data such as IP address and browser information.
The site also uses essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember a shopping cart, and protect administrative access.
How we use information
- Process, confirm, fulfill, support, and refund orders.
- Attribute fundraiser sales and help organizations distribute orders.
- Operate dashboards, exports, account access, and customer support.
- Prevent fraud, spam, unauthorized access, and other misuse.
- Maintain business, accounting, dispute, and legal records.
- If you separately confirm marketing email, use qualifying purchases made from that point forward to make occasional seasonal offers and featured-fundraiser messages relevant.
How long we keep it
Contact-form messages are scheduled for deletion after 90 days. Order, inquiry, participant, and related operational records are kept for at least one year and may be kept longer when reasonably needed for accounting, tax records, disputes, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or backups.
An order email address is used for receipts and order support. Placing an order does not automatically subscribe you to promotional email. A checked email-updates option requests a separate confirmation message; promotional email starts only after you confirm. We do not enroll historical buyers or use purchases made before that confirmation for marketing. Confirmed subscriber records and qualifying purchase history may be kept until you unsubscribe, while a limited suppression record may be retained afterward to prevent unwanted mail.
Resend processes marketing contacts and delivery events for us. We record delivery, bounce, complaint, unsubscribe, and link-click events to operate and protect the mailing program. We do not use invisible open-tracking pixels. Every promotional message includes an immediate unsubscribe method.
Fundraiser participants
Organization leaders control participant setup and are responsible for having appropriate permission to provide participant information. Public fundraiser pages may display a participant name and shareable link so purchases can be credited correctly. Contact us or the organization if participant information needs to be corrected or removed.
Your choices
Contact us if you want to ask what information we have about you, correct it, or request deletion. We will evaluate requests in light of records we must reasonably keep for completed orders, accounting, security, or legal obligations.
You can unsubscribe from marketing in any promotional email. Unsubscribing does not affect receipts, fulfillment messages, or completed-order records. You may explicitly re-consent after a future purchase unless the address is suppressed because of a complaint or hard bounce.
We would rather talk it through.
We are a small business and handle unusual situations fairly, case by case. Include your order number when you contact us so we can help quickly.
